Hi, I’m Fran!
I grew up in the North York Moors National Park and graduated from Newcastle University with a BA Fine Art in 2009.
I live in Northumberland, creating original works of art as an Artist & Creative Producer.
I trained with the Royal Drawing School in 2024, supported by Arts Council England, and I’m Guest Artist with DRAW Studio, Northumberland. I run drawing workshops with cultural and community venues and I’m currently freelance Associate Producer: New Projects with Novo Theatre.
Recent producing clients include Northern Heartlands, TimbaDash Theatre, The Tute, North East Museums and Teesside University.
I am a current grant recipient of North of Tyne Culture & Creative Investment Programme and received an Arts Council England DYCP grant (2023-2024). In 2021 I received a Creative UK grant to research temporary rural studio hire in Northumberland.

Rural landscapes and urban architecture have inspired my current collection of abstract screenprints. Exhibition highlights include BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair & PrintFest.
As a Creative Producer, I specialise in co-production with artists & communities to realise large-scale projects that enable more people to take part & make decisions about arts & culture. I worked for 9 years as a Creative Producer in the Creative People and Places programme, for Museums Northumberland bait in SE Northumberland and South Tees with Borderlands.
I’ve realised self-initiated projects in UK & Sweden funded by Arts Council England, and artist residencies in England, Sweden & Norway. Previous projects include ‘Flux at 151’ and ‘The Artists’ Window’ reviewed here by Contemporary Visual Arts Network.
