In this one day course, we’ll explore how each material can be applied to create different effects in a monochrome landscape drawing. We’ll take inspiration from artists who use monochrome for a quick sketch, to capture shifting weather or portray dramatic vistas.
I’ll guide you through the development of a small drawing in your choice of monochrome medium.
We’ll draw from a selection of landscape images or you are welcome to work from your own reference images. Along the way, pick up some quick tips for converting digital photographs into black & white, editing images, drawing landscapes in proportion and expressing your imagination!
