Explore the expressive qualities of charcoal and ink, and the precision of pen and pencil to create tonal landscape drawings.

We’ll draw from a selection of landscape images or natural objects in the studio, and you may want to work from your own digital photos of places special to you. fter exploring how each material can be applied, experimenting with different drawing tools and ways to combine media, I’ll guide you through the development of a small monochrome drawing.

By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident with these classic drawing materials and the basic principles of landscape drawing. You’l leave with a reference library of monochrome marks for future drawings and your own small landscape drawing.
